Our commitmentYukon Lab develops and operates AI-powered products and services under a formal Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023 — the international standard for responsible AI governance. This policy defines the commitments of top management and applies to all AI systems we develop, deploy, or integrate, including the HAVAA AI Agent Platform, data lakehouse implementations, data governance solutions, and process intelligence services.
What we commit toOur AIMS supports Yukon Lab's strategic focus on trusted AI solutions for government, healthcare, data governance, and fintech. Across all our work, top management commits to:
- Legal and regulatory compliance. We identify and maintain compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements related to AI use, data protection, information security, and sector-specific obligations.
- Measurable AI objectives. We establish and review measurable objectives covering safety, security, privacy, reliability, transparency, incident reduction, and audit readiness — and we implement those objectives through defined plans, responsibilities, and monitoring.
- Continuous improvement. We continually improve the effectiveness of our AIMS through internal audits, management reviews, lessons learned from incidents, and corrective actions.
- Customer data protection. We apply customer data classification requirements and restrictions on data access, processing, sharing, residency, and retention. We do not use customer data for model training or any secondary purpose without explicit authorisation and a lawful basis.
Principles we apply to every AI systemWe apply the following principles proportionally to the risk and impact of each AI system or integration:
- Accountability and governance. Clear ownership for AI systems, data, risks, and approval decisions. Defined escalation paths and decision-making at every level of the organisation.
- Human oversight and controllability. Appropriate human review, approval gates, override capability, and safe fallback modes for high-impact AI actions. No fully autonomous action in high-stakes contexts without human oversight.
- Safety, robustness, and security by design. Controls to prevent misuse, unauthorised access, prompt injection, data exfiltration, unsafe tool execution, and operational failures — built into the system from the start, not added afterwards.
- Privacy and data protection. Data minimisation, purpose limitation, least-privilege access, encryption, tenant isolation, defined retention limits, and secure deletion.
- Transparency and traceability. We communicate the capabilities and limitations of our AI systems to customers. Where technically feasible, we maintain traceability of inputs, retrieval sources, tool actions, approvals, and outputs.
- Quality and performance. AI outputs are validated against defined acceptance criteria. We monitor for drift and performance degradation, and we manage changes through versioning and rollback procedures.
- Fairness. Where AI systems influence customer outcomes, eligibility decisions, or other sensitive determinations, we assess and mitigate the risk of unfair bias.
Our roles in the AI ecosystemYukon Lab operates in two distinct capacities:
As an
AI provider (HAVAA platform), we are responsible for platform-level governance controls: authentication, tenant isolation, policy enforcement, AI guardrails, tool governance, logging, security monitoring, and incident response.
As an
AI system integrator (data governance, data management, and process intelligence), we define responsibility boundaries with customers, implement required controls and approvals, ensure secure integration and least-privilege access, and deliver documentation and evidence for customer assurance and audit purposes.
How we maintain this policyThis policy is maintained, reviewed, and communicated to all Yukon Lab personnel and to applicable external parties — including contractors, subcontractors, and partners — who affect AI-related work. It is available to customers, auditors, and regulators upon request, subject to applicable confidentiality constraints.
The policy is supported by topic-specific procedures including our AI Risk Assessment Procedure, AI System Impact Assessment Procedure, AI SDLC Procedure, Document Control Procedure, and Human Resources Management Procedure.
